I have this IS account with the included IP addresses and was thinking of registering a domain and hosting a mail server, as IS provide no SMTP on that plan. I therefore need a trustworthy bunch to provide the DNS hosting to point to the mail server and park the rest of the domain. I don't really feel like paying R150pm for this as one lot have quoted me. I also don't want a company likely to disappear overnight. Any suggestions?

Why not register a .com address through somebody like www.domainorb.com. In the control panel you can then change the MX records like you please. The website can be parked for free on their servers. All this for only $4.50 per year.

MXE (Mail Easy) Must be the IP address of a mail server, for example "209.19.56.20".
MX (Mail) Can be either a host name under this domain name (for example, "mail3") or the name of a mail server (for example, "mail.yahoo.com."). NOTE: When using a mail server name, it should end with a period ".". (If you forget the period and we recognize the TLD, we will automatically insert one.)

Thanks Franna - it looked good and I tried it but their crappy payment service rejected all my credit cards, so I'll have to think again.
