So as i understand it he has the following rig and problem

i3 4th series
8GB ddr3
1tb hdd
120gb ssd
Radeon/AMD R7 260 2gb
600w psu

So as i understand it ,his pc runs just fine and at random points (could be 10min or 24hours) the pc just goes black screen with no video but you do hear everything in the background still running just fine.

Then a 5min pc total shut without the power cord connected is needed to start up and give image again, restart doesn't work.

What could this be?any advice will help thanks!!!

Make sure amd drivers are up to date, could possibly be a bad GPU or possibly the power supply. Could even be a bad cable.

Every thursday, the ICU patient in bed 34 dies at 4PM

See if you can hook up another monitor. I had a monitor with an increasingly unreliable power supply that would run fine, and then black out in exactly this way. Turning off the power would allow the monitor to cool and recover operation. I imagine that a similar fault in the display adapter or cable or some innocent-looking converter could have the same effect.

+1

Also try switch off the monitor for a bit etc as opposed to the PC.

I've had a few LCD monitors doing that. One was the onboard PSU where I took a chance and changed the caps. Less than R10 and it's going strong again.
