Hi all

Oky so i'm going to buy a headset soon

To spend ,around the R1000 mark

Wireless would nice but some are expensive like the logitech and corsair, they are above R1500.

Please give me advice on which headset would be a good buy ,i don't listen music on my pc so it's mainly going to be used for gaming.

Get the Sony Gold Headsets for PS4. You can get the wired one for less than R1000. Or the wireless for around R1200. That's the cheapest I've seen it for recently. The wireless works well on PC for voice chat

All I can say is after having played around with my Beyerdynamics DT990 PRO... good lord you are really missing out if you are fixed on getting "just a head(set/phone)". epic..epic..epic.. the levels of sound, the comfort and super kaduper the virtual surround with xonar st. The only con I now see is that I'm getting attached to losseless/flac :D

Its like a whole new world and I don't want to take them off.

fsck my 2.1 creative speakers... :erm::p

Try see if Dion is still selling Turtle Beach headsets for R1k.

Else, save for a bit. Good headsets are an investment. *** ones you replace every 3-9 months
But turtle set and corsair is on par with each other so then the corsair set should be a good choice

Where did you purchase your headphones?

I literally googled for 'co.za beyerdynamic dt990' to find stores that sell these, there are not a lot so I used sound select in the end. You might notice that the picture on that page shows the premium 250ohm, but its the pro 250. I double and tripled checked with them before and after :D
