It looks like you are looking for a network solution rather ran a business solution to productivity. If you were looking for a business solution to worker productivity I would suggest an application that i built which covers all bases when it comes to worker productivity. Its a web-based system of user reporting/worker reporting that is automated around working hours and productivity. It runs with ajax and prompts users to provide a workflow report on productivity when the application is schedjuled to prompt the user for a report. You can set it for hourly or daily or whenever you would like productivity reports. Even if your staff are blocked from accessing the web and they end up using the web through mobile devices, the system is designed to keep track of all activity through reporting. The nice features about my application that i like most is that, you as admin can pull reports and compare productivity on a daily, weekly, monthly basis or whenever you choose and if productivity reports are outstanding, you can simply click to send an e-mail to that user prompting them to submit a report. All you are actually doing is just letting your employees tell you what it is that they are doing all the time and you can access their data remotely.
