Firstly sorry if this is being asked in the wrong section.

I need some advice please.

A close female friend of mine is job hunting for entry level jobs and she came across an add looking for "independant representatives". The company is called furthermoreinc and from the webstie it seems they are based in cape town.

Here is the job ad details

FurtherMoreInc is looking for Independent Representatives to join their team. If you meet the following requirements, send your details to the e-mail address below.

1. Reliable computer with constant internet access and capabilities.
2. A valid e-mail account of your own.
3. Internet knowledge.
4. Computer skills.
5. A Spreadsheet Program (like Microsoft Excel).
6. A Word Processing Program (like Microsoft Word).
7. Good grammar and spelling.
8. Able to conduct yourself in a professional manner.
9. A valid and operative bank account.
10. In addition to the above requirements, you MUST be able to follow instructions closely and completely.

in addition to the above the add asks for the follwing

FurtherMoreINC works in a similar way to other network marketing companies
like Avon, Justine, Amway, U-Care and lots more. We also similarly require
you pay an agent fee of R100.

Is this a valid job opportunity or a scam? My concern being the payment of R100.

Does anyone have experience with this company, please your thoughts and opinions would be apprciated.

Thanks

No.

Stay away.

It smells of a scam - it either is a spammer, or it is a money mule.

As for the upfront payment, that tells me that it's a scam already.

Just walk away from it.

Thank you for the fast response Librarian, much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Venomous, thanks for the response, yes i do, i find it always best to run such things of much more smarter people than myself.

Cheers

not smarter.

Just read around there's many like this one floating around. All equally honest(not).

Your gut feel told you it was not right, so you asked here & got confirmation...

This.

Rather use a reputable agency than risk falling foul from some scammer.

Reputable agencies will not charge fees upfront. And they will have a lot of contacts.

Good luck.

Anyone that charges a fee upfront is a scammer, finish and kla. Rather play it safe, please people pry on people who are desperate for jobs!
