Well my main drive is the hdd as my boot steam origin ect.

But the SSD is coming tomorrow and this will obviously be my OS boot drive and for steam ,origin !

So its only 250gb so no cloning of a 1tb drive to a 250gb..Fresh install on the SSD will be taking place and moving steam and origin over then.

Though im scared the hhd's OS will be screwing things for me when booting ?what can i do instead of wiping my HHD but still to use it with my Excel ,emails ect running on it(which i'd like to stay there)

If I understand you correctly, you could always play with the boot priority. And swap between the two drives when needed

Create a folder called data or something in the root of the drive, move all your data into this folder and then simply delete everything outside of the data folder.

will emails ect still work?when you say all data,Program files ect?

Your installed programs will no longer work, you need to reinstall every program onto the SSD. Most games from steam and so on can be moved to a different directory, and the launcher will pick up the new location and fix it. But MS Office and such won't work off the second HDD.

Won't it be easier to just change the boot priority in the bios?

Even if both HDD's have a OS, it will try and boot from the priority one (SSD) first then the secondary (HDD) if the priority one fails. Of just remove it from the Boot priority completely and only have the SSD as a boot drive.
