Advice needed -Sony Camcorders

Looking to get a Camcorder soon....

Leaning towards the Sony Dvd DCR 608e or 708e.

Is there any difference in video quality between the 608e and the 708e.
Every store I go to gives me a different opinion....

Anyone have any experience with these please advise...

Makro has the 608e for R2999. This is a DVD writer model. I would prefer the less fiddly ones with a HDD.
