Right, so I'm ready to buy my new lens but need advice on where to buy it. Orms doesn't have stock and neither does Photographic Repairs in CPT.

Any other ideas other than SACamera?

70--200 what?
Canon? Nikkon? Which model? What f-stop?

Assuming you are speaking about canon (because there is always shortages) ORMS is ment to be getting a batch of stock at the end of the month (i assume all places will be getting). Im also waiting for a 70-200mm f2.8, ordered it last week and they guys are hoping to source one by the begginning of next week (was originally ment to arrive today). Best thing to do is to phone around and see if anyone has some stock laying around which doesnt seem to be the case with any of the places.

Just wanted names of a few more places I could phone. Does it really matter which one exactly?

Canon 70-200 F4 non IS is what I'm looking for. Orms has the 2.8 non IS 2nd hand for about 8K which is OK but not what I wanted besides I don't really want to spend that much danero.

So question is, where else can I contact?

Orms
SACamera
Cameraland
Photographic Repair
Camertek

Anywhere else?

SACamera do grey imports? I suppose as long as they honour the warranty there shouldn't be an issue right?

Thanks guys, keep them coming

Watch out for SACamera... prices r good cos apparently grey imports!

Thats not to much of a problem so long as they cover the warrenty. The local shop here does that sometimes when someone needs something fast.

Picked up my lens today, very sexeh. Would take it our for a spin but it's my bachelors tomorrow and Sunday so maybe next weekend.

You should consider getting a 1.4x TC for it now...

:D enjoy.

Yup, that is my next mission. Thanks for doing that to my brain;)

Now I need to know if I should get a Canon or Sigma. I have the Canon 70-200 F4 and the Sigma 100-300 F4. I know it's preferred to use the same brand tele with lens.

You might want to double check but the canon TC might not fit on the Sigma.
