I plan to move from I-Burst to adsl. I heard there is not a big difference between
192, 384 and 512 in practice, is this true? They say the price diff. on the faster packages is not worth it. I would appreciate your advice.

Well afaik the best "bang for your buck" option would be the 384, but if cost is a mojor issue then 192 would do the trick, again it would depend on your personal needs and preferences. I think that should be your determining factor. There is a difference in speed between the various flovours, some have just been lucky and someone at Telkom slipped up, forgetting to allocate the lower speed ratio to their account, or something like that. Don't count that it will be the same in your case.

hope it helps :)

Ares - the wider the bandwidth the faster it can go.
Remember, that the 512 is only half of what IBurst can provide.

Bottom line though, cos they (Teklom) charge for downgrades, and upgrade for free, start at the lowest level possible and try to live with it.

If it is too slow for you, go up to the next level - without having to pay wierd teklom fee's.

Right and all and all. Eish feel like a hi-jacking today anyone? :D

just signed up for 192 package and it is great for mail, browsing and some downloading.

i can't notice the diffrence between 192 and 512 when browsing.

i figured that i could just upgrade if 192 doesn't cut it anymore.

I speak under correction of the great ones, but I don't think so, it only influences your bandwidth, i.e. ul/dl.
