Hello
I am shopping around for a credit card to boost my credit score (currently 625) . I currently have a cellphone contract and the virgin money card only on my credit record.
So I want to get a second credit card. The appeal with the virgin money card is the absence of monthly fees (I pay off the full balance every month) . For my second card I'm considering discovery since I'm already on their medical aid and I'm planning to use their car and home insurance But I am not interested in vitality active. I only want vitality drive.
Vitaliy is expensive and complicated and their benefits don't appeal to me as much as the Sanlam Reality (which I am on)

So my question is: will it be worth while for me to open the discovery credit card or should I consider other cards

If you arent active with Vitality, you probably wont be active using Vitality money when it comes out. So maybe fnb is better.

I'm only planning on using vitality drive and getting home and car insurance with discovery.I'm also on their medical aid. Why do you recommend the FNB credit card

Ebucks is pretty good. U just need to jump a few hoops with a gold bundle account.

Discovery cc isn't that bad either. I'm sure you can get a few discounts on flights with them.

Had family use the Discovery CC, seems there were quite a few hassles with it (double billed some months, one case of card being cloned before even arriving, then once cancelled, got called up that owe money when the account had R0, they just added a fine on a R0 outstanding account). Probably go with getting an FNB or Capitec one. The Capitec one is R35pm, FNB R48 or R105 but requires income bracket.

I would also go with FNB, Bucks is good especially if you can get to level 5. Discovery monthly/annual fees are really high last time I checked.
