Advice on laptop for autoCAD?

Last time I took myBB's advice when buying a laptop. Well, now I need a laptop for my younger bro, who will be running autoCAD 3D drawing program, and simple browsing, MS office and watching the odd movie. No real gaming required.

My budget is 5-8k.

So far my options are:

Does anyone have better cheaper recommendations? If not, which of the two is the better deal?

Between those two - without a doubt I'd go with the Lenovo.

Obviously it's much more powerful where it counts for AutoCADing (processor, RAM, GPU).
Further than that, Lenovo is a solid brand - my experience with the Samsung laptops that I've had the pleasure of dealing with, has been anything but pleasurable. From their build-quality to after-sales and technical service, Samsungs are all round terrible.

I believe that, in the long run, which is how long I assume your brother will need to keep and use the machine for.. that extra R2000 will be well-spent now.

If hes only buying the machine to start off with cad work, he is probably a student. No need to shell out stupid amounts of dosh just for a computer running a quadro graphics card for minimal return on investment.

Dead right - Quadro is only needed when dealing with large-scale models.
