Advice on passing a technical inspection

Most likely won't scan for software. Dp is easy to spot especially when you put it on a lift, but that also depends on who's doing the inspection. I guess it will just be some guy walking around the car with the a checklist? Have you asked them what they check for with these inspections?

Hello Broadbanders :)

I recently listed my 2015 Golf mk7 GTI for sale and got a buyer that wants to finance the car .The bank told me to go get a technical inspection at a BOSCH center .I am however sweating a bit because the car has a downpipe/stage 2 software on (the buyer is fully aware of it and it does not mind because he's also going to mod the car) .

My questions so far :

Will it pass the test with the software and downpipe on ?

Is there any way around the test ? (I mean who's got 2-3 hours to sit at a testing center)

Do they actually scan for software ?

Do you guys think the mechanic will call out the downpipe on the car ?

Regards
(mods feel free to move if I am in the wrong section)

Both my subarus are alot more modified then your car and they passed all dektra technical inspections and road worthy tests in the past 2 years.Main thing they check are basic things like oil leaks , etc.

I had a 2012 Picanto 1.0 I sold to a buyer who was using Wesbank and I had to go to Bosch for the inspection. They've got a long checklist that they go through. As an example, the car in question got a tick stating that the ABS was functioning perfectly. The car didn't have ABS........ Those inspections are not thorough. You'll be fine :)
