Advice on phone selection please

Greertings all

It's time once again for the love of my life to upgrade her phone. She currently has a Nokia N82 and loves the good quality photos as well as the easy to navigate Nokia menu. I see the X6 is available which looks fantastic but the Blackberry range look good too. I'll be getting a Blackberry work phone in a few months - no choice in the matter. Some posts here rave about the HTC Desire but I've never used an HTC and have concerns on after sales service.

Any advice will be appreciated

If she particularly likes the camera and wants a phone with an excellent camera, then Blackberry isn't the way to go. They're geared towards hardcore communication more than anything else, which they're awesome at doing

If you're looking for camera quality either nokia or sony ericson. Most of the 6 series nokias seem to have pretty decent camera quality (ie: Nokia 6710 Navi or 6730 Classic) or even the E72 which has the same camera as the 6710. Just be warned though, the 6710 Navi while being a good phone is having a lot of returns for problems with zooming in and out by itself and keypad issues.

Sony does have all the fancy camera features and usually has good quality as well.

HTC after sales i've always had an issue with as if memory serves most repair centers don't repair them directly and usually send them back to HTC to repair which takes longer. Other than that, pretty decent phones which support a heck of a lot.
