I'd like some advice on what tab to get my son who is turning 7 this month.
I was thinking of either:
- Lenovo A10-30 selling for R4k but I can get 20%cash back on Discovery http://www.incredible.co.za/lenovo-tab2-a10-30-16gb-lte-voice
- Lenovo 10.1" Miix 2 in 1 Windows Laptop Tablet on special for R3k https://www.makro.co.za/computing-a...ix-2-in-1-windows-tablet-wi-fi-32gb--309622EA
Ideally, I'd like to spend around R2k for a 7 or 8 inch tablet but my experience with and research on budget tablets (especially with 1GB RAM) has not be great. So probably will have to spend R3k
I already own a Lenovo A10-30 and it's a really good tablet. Runs everything perfectly, but I'm tempted by the Lenovo Miix 2 in 1 (Windows) because my son could learn how to use a laptop keyboard and mouse on his device while still having a tab to play games on.
1. Does anyone have any experience with this lenovo miix? How is the performance for viewing movies, playing basic games? Can it run decent games like sonic and mobile (android type) car games smoothly?
2. Does the windows store have a reasonably good selection of games and apps?
3. Are there alternative tablets you would recommend for around R3k (preferably 8 inch with good specs and 2GB RAM)?
