Ladies and gentlemen of the jury,
I need advice/comment please. I have decided to switch to MWEB uncapped at the end of the month, away from WA.
I had a MWEB uncapped trial account and it performed very well during the trial period,
at the time outperforming my WA account, where I pay extra "skoens" to get "PRO" bandwidth. Go figure.
I work from home 4 days a week, note I do not run a business, just have the privilege of working from home.
Mostly for:
1) Connecting to office network via a VPN connection
2) Connecting to SQL servers on the office network and copying files to the office
3) Using Lotus notes to connect to a Domino server for mail
4) Skype
All of the above works quite well, and I never have an issue.
The rest is pretty much standard interwebz stuff, at this point not engaged in any torrent or news server downloads etc.
Although I admit I might dig into the news server business eventually.
I have 2 concerns:
1) I have seen a lot of people making negative performance comments the last months or so related to MWEB, albeit I must admit mostly related to torrent downloads, and lately some Gmail issues which I acknowledge might not be due to troubles at MWEB per se)
2) The MWEB trial accounts are given priority, specifically aimed at giving a user a good experience.
(This fear has been addressed by the MWEB person that helped me with the trial account, but I still have doubts, and even now with all the complaints I see lately)
My main reason for moving away from WA and not just switching to their uncapped product is WA's lack of returning a request for info, and the fact that I pay extra money every month for "PRO" priority, but I have a connection performing the same as most people not paying the extra charge.
I also have to add that I cannot really afford more that the 899 I will be charged for a MWEB uncapped 4M account
Very much appreciate your advice and comment.
