Hi guys,

I really have some here as I am at my wits end trying to get this working and I am hoping someone can pass on some advice or tell me if they are experiencing similar issues.

I have started streaming the ITV and BBC I player apps via a VPN called "Expat UK" - I am using 20mb Fibre line to do so with an Amazon Fire Stick.

The first few months I had it, it worked like a charm, no issues at all.

But now for the past probably 3 months I have had buffering issues, I have literally tried everything I can think of to fix the buffering. It is an itermitant issue and its proving to be impossible to solve.

I have so far tried a different VPN program - Nord
Bought new access points, Wifi Extenders, Had support from the VPN companies and some from my ISP and lastely this week I have upgrade our Fibre from 20mb to 50mb and its had no effect.

I am aware using a VPN it drops your line speed, but when doing speed tests with the VPN on to london I am getting 1-2mb speeds.

Without to some services in london 10-20 ( rarely 40 ) speeds,
Locally always running fine at 50mb.

I game on the line both games like World of Warcraft to Dota and they have never given me any issues.

I am open to trying any advice at this point, I just don't understand how it has gone from working perfectly about 3 months ago to now hardly working at all.

Does anyone stream these apps, are you having any issues?

Smartdnsproxy or Getflix

Smartdnsproxy or Getflix

I purchased Smartdnsproxy and setup the dns on my Mi Box ( not my router) but Netflix is giving me the error " You seem to be using an unblocker or proxy" Any idea why?

No ideas, sorry. I always set it up on the router. With all the boxes, pads, and phones it makes more sense for us.

I don’t know about Smartdnsproxy, but on Getflix if I have Netflix set to any other country rather than South Africa, it doesn’t work. So in the Getflix app I’ve just got it switched off so that I just get the local content.

BBC, Channel 4 etc all work great which is what I need from the service.

Edit. Set up is in router.

If you are willing to pay for it something like TVMucho is an option. Only IF.
