ADVICE: UNCAPPED DSL

Hey Guys,

My heads been spinning with all the threads about uncapped DSL. I upgraded my 10GB account with Afrihost, and while I've yet to reach the first 30GIG hurdle... I am being throttled so badly that I can barely use youtube, even gmail is operating at a snail's pace!. Oh, and tech support is promptly not responding, and the responses I've received are curt and somewhat abrupt.

So... while I've had a brilliant experience with Afrihosts's 29/gig capped internet... I'm wondering whether I should bail now or whether I should hang on for them to sort their stuff out. I've only singed on since the 1st....bottom line is that I think it's a healthy combo of not reading the T&C's and a nasty dose of false advertising, which leaves a nasty aftertaste.

What do you guys think, should I migrate to another ISP? Is the MWEB service as great?

i have the same issues as u,

i was on the capped account and happy but not so much on the uncapped...

had it since the 1st april.

i'm willing to wait for the whole month and see what the service will be like, speed wise.

the 30 gb "cap" and progressive throttling after that was not what i signed up for.

imagine your speeds as low as 192kb/s on a 4mb line

The more ppl go for the cheap uncapped the slower it will get coz there are an 100:1 connection ratio.
