Hi everyone

Well i been tasked by my new boss to get a basic VOIP service for the office, I'm not from the Voice side at all so
i have no clue where i should start, Can you guys help me out a little ?

I have a lot of experience on the network side so i'm sure if configuring comes into play i will be able to handle that but as far as VOIP im pretty new to it

What we have currently

Internet provided by Wireless company connected to mikrotik, We need 3 cordless handsets and that's it

Thanks guys

Its dead easy, at home I run a product called 3CX, it just works... running it on a general-purpose box used for other stuff.

You should prepare yourself for outages already. So make sure to plan for a backup.

That being said, contact the wireless company, I'm sure they have VOIP packages available as well

do you use the FreePBX ? this does look good

FreePBX gave me endless hassles hence why I chose 3CX which has got some really interesting features none of the others have/had. It also allows me to connect an external SIP trunk to it, but I prefer to rather get a card for that and connect my existing landline.
