Glordit I feel for you I really do.
I threw my hard earned cash out of the window for about 7 months using them
I was on 192k for 2 months and then again went back to 64k. The hook they try to catch their customers with is that the service is uncapped.
Reality of the matter is that the only time you will be able to get the full download speed is while using a download manager(connection keeps on getting disconnected without) and then only from ftp sites. With 8kb/s you can do nothing except for surfing the net very slowly. Forget about the unlimited cap with Aerosat you will only be using about 300mb a month anyways.
Everything else don't work ie torrents.
Only advise I can give you is to ditch them now.
If you cannot get ADSL that's a different story, but if you think that Telkom will take to long to install it's better IMO to take that chance.
I waited a total of 9 days to order my new line installation and to get my ADSL activated.
It took Aerosat longer to remove their cr@p equipment from my roof.
So if you are in an area that is DSL enabled ditch them NOW!!!!!!!!
