I am looking for an affordable way to store data and be able to access it from my Mac Mini (2014)

I guess I am kinda asking for a real live glow in the dark unicorn made out of marshmallows and chocolate... I am however hoping maybe some of you could share some alternatives that comes close to this?

The best I was able to find is the $398 OWC ThunderBay 4: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/TB2IVKIT0GB/ which is sold locally for more than R10k (http://www.digitaldepot.co.za/owc-4bay-raid) REALLY???? What idiots!

My requirements:
* Affordably priced
* Capacity of 20tb (5x4tb drives) I have these already
* High throughput connection (Ideally Thunderbolt 2)
* Redundancy (I quite like MS Storage Spaces, but clearly not an option here)
* Reliable

Drobo.

Affordable is a very relative term though and it's never cheap to do this.

Especially not 20TB.

Thanks, might give it a go if I cant find anything else.

Have the same one connected to my Mini - very little problems to date.

If you're interested in the Drobo (which is super pricey) - check out the Orange online store.

They were a fair bit cheaper than any other local sources that I could find at the time... This was almost a year back, so things might have changed since then - Nene/Gupta/SARS/R<$ issues aside...
