Players are now able to register for the TELKOM African Continental Championships (AfriCon) which is hosted by Mind Sports South Africa and will be held on 6th and 7th December 2008 at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The games that will be contested at the championships are:
Mind Sports South Africa has already been notified that two top European teams have already entered, one for COD4, and one for DoTA. Full details shall be released shortly.
Should you wish to participate, Teams must fill in the AfriCon registration form (http://www.mssa-cgboc.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=119&Itemid=85) before the deadline of 15 November 2008. Late entries shall be accepted on certain conditions up to 1 December 2008. Teams that submit forms before the 15th November 2008 will receive a free AfriCon Polo Shirt. The price per Team per Game is R850.00. Please note that no registrations will be accepted at the event itself. Spectators are R50.00 for over 18s and R20.00 for juniors (This can be paid at the event).
Players will also be able to watch the National Protea Team take on a top international team in a highly charged test match on Wednesday, 3 December 2008. Further details shall be released in the near future.
