I do experience the Internet is freezing and not responding when I open programs and websites.

I did a speed test at saix.net with the following results: -

The latency was always 25ms, but is now around 30ms to 34ms.

Afrihost support reported back with the following reply: -

"The reason why you are getting the speeds that you are getting is due to Telkom's automatic system re-syncing the line at 1.5mbps and the distance from the exchange has contributed to the 200kbs drop to 1.3mbps.

Telkom are the only ones that can re-sync your line at 2mbps again we can no longer do that."

Can a Telkom Tech or somebody else please assist?
 
The 'not responding' has nothing to do with your line.

If you think that your line is not syncing at 2mbps, log into your router and check what the sync speed is. Otherwise phone up telkom and 'get' them to reset&recreate your adsl port.
 
I think MyBB should investigate and report back.
