I have 4 numbers with Afrihost Airmobile that launched earlier this year. In my particular suburb I havent been able to make or receive calls for a good few months, even though the signal is 5/5. When making a call in a different suburb it works perfectly fine.
I’ve tried contacting Afrihost many times and explained the problem on numerous occasions but their tech support is stuck on default settings. Escalations dont help either. Follow-up emails are a nightmare, having to explain the problems all over again. Trying to explain to them that iOS AND Android devices are having the same issue is a nightmare. The issue clearly lies in configuration of the tower in the area… something they’re not willing to admit or properly investigate with their host network, MTN.
The kicker is another number on the MTN network works perfectly fine in the same household.
Unfortunately this company once prided itself on excellent customer support… not anymore.
