Hi Guys
Each time I top-up my airtime R25 or R50) I get charged R3.50 (Capitec) can't figure out why I get charged this much if I top-up my Telkom airtime I only pay 50c extra (Capitec)
I top-up via the app....
Anyone noticed this?
TIA

Are you topping up via the app?

I think they are charging you a transaction fee. Check with Capitec or on your bank statement for the description on that charge

Yes topping up via the app and yes on transaction fee but why am I charged R3.00 more to top-up Airmobile

Looks like debit orders are charged at R3.50

Change to card payment and link your capitec card to prevent these charges

@cavedog ok that makes sense but I never signed or agreed for a debit order, ok I will take it up with Afrihost otherwise I just port back to Cell C.
Thanks agn

Go to Clientzone >> Billing >> Manage Payment details

Check the payment method that you have there, it is the one you provided upon signup.

Just to be clear, which app exactly are you using?

OK I also have fibre with Afrihost and that payment goes off via debit order so now it seems they've merged the two accounts to the same debit order.

If your primary payment method is debit order then everything on that account will go off that debit order.

If you want to split it you can add a card via Clientzone and then link that card to the air mobile product and leave the debit order on the fibre, or set both to use the card.

Does it mean that I need to get another bank card/account?

No you don't. The option is just there if you want to separate the payment methods for your different products if you want to do that.

I use a card payment for my fixed LTE so that I don't have to wait for payment to be processed before the topup is allocated. For my fibre I use normal debit order details
