Dark room in Adventure. Grues abound.
So the one line at my work is Afrihost ADSL with a static public IP

I have noticed that every time there's loadshedding, this line goes down.

@AfriMan - is there anything wrong on your side which may cause your lines to be shed during loadsheddings?

If not, then the issue may be closer on our side, but it is hard to say as a traceroute doesn't help, it drops after the firewall.

Also having issues on my fibre line. Can't run a traceroute either.

Sounds like an exchange or DSLAM that does not have backup power during loadshedding.. Nothing afrihost can do about that..

My ADSL went dead during loadshedding as well, because the DSLAM it's connected to doesn't have backup power.. at one stage it was powered by trailer generator and every time it ran out of fuel, had to wait for them to come by and fill up before connection came back..

Yeah my Openserve fibre with Afrihost is powered with a 12V backup battery and runs fine without any issues.

You need to contact Telkom, not Afrihost. Nothing Afrihost can do about exchanges going down during loadshedding.
