No. You can open faults on your own or check on things. Afrihost does the minimum and very little followup. This, pretty much. Now if you call Telkom as a last straw, they'll simply redirect you to Afrihost, yes?

Well guys it's official, Afrihost have found a way to throttle my downloads.
I am on a 50gig up yo 10meg line and I used to get amazing speeds
but for this whole month my line has been stuffed!
my downloads are all going at less than 50mb but if I do a speed test (while downloading) I get 6-700mb
Now you please tell me what's going on there...?
Where are you downloading from?
I did contact Telkom and they have a pending adsl order on my line, i only placed an order on Afrihost website. So basically we can order the line from Afrihost and they can send the order to Telkom on my behalf but not check the status of the order Afrihost send to Telkom?
Place where English is not the preferred language
Just had something very interesting happen.
my downloads have been doing about 20kb for this month
not too good for a 10mb 50 capped line
I have the same capped line at work.
and just out of interest I put my work account on my home pc and began my downloads again.
for about 10min my speeds were back up to 600mb but then dropped to around 100mb
when I put my account back on at home everything crawls to a halt again.
Why are two accounts performing so dramatically different on the same line??
anyone have a legitimate answer???
What line do you have that you get 600Mbits?![]()
