I bought an uncapped account (4096k) to use until the end of Jan, but now they want to bill me for Feb as well. I have no need for the account in February and refuse to pay for it is there anyway in which I don't have to pay for February?

If they are going to be difficult then can I cancel the account for Jan, as I have not used it yet and ask for my money back?

Xzib1t.

EDIT: and I won't use it until this is sorted out.

Their Terms clearly state you need to cancel BEFORE the 25th of the current month
to only be liable to pay for that month. So, for example, if you signed up for an uncapped
account on the 23rd of Jan, and you cancelled on the 24th of Jan, you would only be
required to pay the prorated bill, and could still use the uncapped account until the
end of the month.

It would seem that if you signed up for an uncapped on or after the 25th of Jan, you
would automatically be liable for the whole month of February as well.

It's got something to do with their billing system. They won't make exceptions, but
they're pretty upfront about it.

Next time read the fine print before you sign up for a month-to-month service.

EDIT: I guess if you moan and gripe on Hellopeter, they'll eventually cave and let you
off with a "slap on the wrists". Worth a try I guess.

Would this also apply if I wanted to cancel today, surely there must be some way to cancel it today as I have not used it, like taking something back to a shop?

EDIT: Also it was very silly of me not to read the Terms and Conditions.

I guess you could call or E-mail them and explain your situation.
They have been known to forgive and refund as long as the account
hasn't been used.

Give them a call early and ask for Moshe, I'm sure he'll be able to help. Good luck! :)
