I am glad you have seen an improvement on your connection, we are still keeping an eye on things to make sure they remain so.

Gian definitely never intended Plus+ to be an added string or complication, there will be additional communications over the coming days where Gian will try to engage with you guys to try to understand the reaction that Plus+ has gotten. The concerns you guys are raising are not unique, and it is definitely something that is being considered.

Has this happened because you guys can't afford to make the double data on dsl data permanent? Because as I said I'd love these size caps to become the norm.

I honestly don't think so, especially since we haven't decided if the Double Data promotion will continue after December or not. :)

Well then I'd like to throw my 2c out there and ask that they be made the standard.

They are a Business they need to make something but if 100+100 became 150Gb at the current price they would make a bit more and the customer would still have great value, and no need to worry about the deal expiring.

Why not leave the double data with the loyal clients who have stuck it out with AH during some pretty bleak times for - say another six months but make any new signings pay extra for it. I think AH should also consider giving us complimentary Plus+ for at least six months. Personally I have lost thousands of rand paying for a service that was not delivered but hung in there knowing that they would, one day, get it sorted. That day seems to have arrived as have had a week of pure AH awesome service. May it stay like this!

AfriPeeps ...

It is Friday afternoon, 5 kids in the house, Youtubing + Steam multiplayering and not a groan or moan to be heard...
Not a single nerf has been fired at the router in kid-rage / frustration...
And the modem is all zen.

Things looking very good again.

Let your team know that their efforts are being appreciated right now.

Because, as we are seeing now, the more you have the more you use, when it expires it is too late, you are hooked and your use pattern requires that amount of data. So you end up paying for it. Free internet data is like a pusher giving free drugs, get them hooked then charge.

I agree 100% with you! And there some things in the pipeline, Gian and the Directors definitely appreciate the tough time our clients have been through, and appreciate you guys sticking it out with us. I just can't actually share the details until it gets officially announced.

Your line still isn't look good :(

I just did a line recreate, could you restart your modem, then test to see if that has made any difference.

We did escalate your line fault this morning, we should receive feedback from Telkom on your line and exchange status soon.

I have restarted my modem/router. Speed is perfect, but latency is poor.

That is worrisome, can you please keep an eye on it, and see if it starts to drop from around 19h00.

Here is the trace. The trace shows that there is congestion at the exchange. Afrihost, did send technicians to my premises that is 400m away from the Meyerspark exchange, but they cant find problems on my line at home. I don't know what is happening with my line inside the exchange building. I have trailed a Telkom bakkie to the exchange and asked the guy if he can check my port, he said that he will.He has written down my line number and cell, still my latency is pathetic.
