How long is the AVG reply time of the Critical Team? We are waiting days at a time.

The Critical Care team should keep you updated on as they make progress with resolving your fault, it is difficult to say how quickly the issue should be resolved, as the issues tend to be slightly more complex than normal, but you should receive regular updates and news from them.

We are still waiting on a reply from the 3rd.

On a traceroute, where do you start to see the high latency? Would you mind posting it here? And could you please also send me your ADSL line number or username so that I can investigate on my side.

So nothing happened after I sent the PM to you. Maybe showing my bad results in public will get some attention.

Here is my tracert results:

Hi! I just got an update from Telkom on your ADSL line, could you check your Inbox please.

Morning Guys!

My apologies for the connectivity issues that many of our Cape users experienced over the weekend, the issues was caused by the system that handles the caching for internet traffic, it basically conked out and caused significant issues with internet traffic. HTTPS traffic was not handled by the affected system, which is why you would have seen some traffic working.

If you guys have any questions please let me know here or via PM.

Thanks!

Would that have been afrihost or MTN?

But my MTN mobile (AF) and my Axxess account and fathers Axxess Mobile (MTN)

Had the exact issue for the exact same time thou..

Those all run through the same caching service, as soon as it was bypassed, the issue was resolved and connections resumed as per normal.

So purchasing an Afrihost MyFy with MNT data as a backup for the ADSL was false marketing if they are both dependent on a single point of failure. You should really have the two networks as redundant paths not interconnected.

Every night I go down on my knees and thank the telkom gods for safe guarding my VDSL line.

I am going to steal your Copper whilst you sleep and use it as Speaker Cables :)
But don't worry, I have an old ISDN modem I can leave in its place .

This really was a freak occurrence, your Mobile Data can still be used as a reliable back-up without having to worry about something like this happening again.

I know some gremlins. Will be feeding them after midnight

You guys.... Leave my child alone!

Btw ... After 8 days of this WA special 50TB free between 12 and 6 downloading an average of 72Gb a night.

I have now reached a dead end. I have nothing I can think of to download anymore ?

Is there any suggestions?
