Seeing that its the new month I thought I'd try to get some feedback from fellow Web Ninjas out there regarding whether I should unbundle or not seeing that there are cost benefits?

I know that Afrihost has been promising 'something special' for Capped Bundle clients for over a month now but don't recall any official communication going out. Once off Bonus Gigs are good but do get a bit tired when you consider the lack of sustainability.

It's about time Afrihost passed on the capped savings to bundled users officially.

For the last 2 months, bundle users have been asking, and AfriReps have been avoiding the issue like the plague.

Instead, we have to keep an eye out for "mystery gift promo's" to make up for the inequality.

Doesn't make any commercial sense other than to benefit the service provider with their locked in bundled users, ie. captive market.

While the mystery bonus is an interim measure redress this imbalance, one would expect AH to roll out new pricing for all their bundle products to reflect what they have done with the standard capped accounts.

/defies logic

?

Isn't it one click to unbundle?

What line speed do you have? The cost savings to bundle make a lot more sense on the higher speeds.

You don't get double data with bundles is the issue at the moment.

I see they've actually increased their pricing! I moved over last month because of the good pricing on the 40Mbit which I see is no longer the same price it was when I ordered.

I hope they let their clients know if they're planning to increase pricing for existing accounts.

Here is what the bundle pricing looked like last month:

This month it is a cryptic (Rx or less):

That old 20mb price is what I'm paying for a 4mb! I wonder what the asterix meant in the first instance? Anyway, those old price's look too good to be true.

Fineprint is still the same:

* Pricing displayed is only applicable for bundles. If you unbundle your products at a later stage or sign up for a single product, normal pricing will apply.

Those prices were correct, my invoice reflects R597 for 40Mbit and 50GB bundle.

Guess I can't see that button, only the cancel / change / modify package options which don't reveal unbundling.

And if you press the wrong button, there's a chance AH cancel all your accounts, your DSTV, your pre-paid electricity meter and municipal account and your coffee turns to decaf.

Just can't risk it.

Lol, yeah, they can be brutal if one protests too much :)

I think you can only do it in the old clientzone.
