Afrihost e-mail down?

I can't access any e-mails on the AH pop3 server on both my account and my wife's, nor can I access the web mail page dslmail.afrihost.com. Anyone else with this problem?

Edit: never mind, it's back up again.

Once again I cannot access e-mails on any account on either pop3 server or via web mail page. Happens both when connected via adsl or 3g.

Are you getting an error message when you try to access the Webmail?

All that happens is I get the log in page and when I enter the username and password and click login then it just comes back up with the login page. This has happened in the past when I enter the wrong login details but in this case the details are definitely correct - they are stored in firefox and I have also tried entering them manually making extra sure they are correct. BTW, why can't we have an incorrect username / password message if the details are wrong?
At the same time as this is happening I also can't access the pop3 mail server either from outlook or from the mail app on my phone either by adsl or 3g.
Access came back again after a few hours but it is a pain when it is down and while this is the second time I have logged it on the forum it has happened other times in the past.

Are you using Afrihost DSL and Afrihost Mobile Data? The Afrihost outgoing mail server may not work if you're using it from a different ISP's connection.

The problem is with receiving e-mails, that's why I said the POP3 server.
Anyway, yes I am using afrihost adsl and afrihost mobile although I have also tried Vox and Webafrica when I have the problem and they don't work either.
The e-mail works fine and suddenly with NOTHING changing it stops accessing the pop3 and the dsl mail.

Can you please PM me your email address, I'll need to check with our Server Admins to find out if there are any problems with it.
 
Mine goes down for about 1 minute every 3 or 4 days, usually some time during the afternoon. The message from the router says there is no internet. I just wait a bit and it comes back

No idea why

That actually sounds like your router resetting. Please PM me your account info and II'll look into the cause of this.
 
Just had a client call me telling me that AH has "lost" all his company's email, and that it cannot be recovered.

He has decided to move his domain and email over to Office 365.

I bet that AH will deny any of this has happened and that MyBB will cover for them in some way or another.

I'm not sure what you mean by lost.

The mails are either on the server, or they are not. Do you have the domain name for your Client?
