Afrihost Fibre via Telkom

hmmm, OK, so I went with Telkom 10mb line via Afrihost.

Was thinking Afrihost would at least be helpful in assisting to get Telkom to do the installation ASAP.

Doesn't seem to be the case. I have requested feedback and for Afrihost to send me the installation ticket they logged with Telkom so I can start putting pressure myself, but they don't even respond to my ticket...

I though Afrihost was supposed to be a good ISP? Now thinking I should rather cancel and go Telkom direct. At least I am very well experienced in fighting with Telkom and getting results....

Anyone else used Afrihost for fibre via Telkom? Good/bad experience?
 
I have my Telkom Line with ISPAfrika and a DSL package from Afrihost and have not had a single problem since the install in June. ISPAfrika is very responsive and handled the full installation from Telkom seamlessly. I also believe that my package works out cheaper at R1025 for 40Mbps 400Gig pm package.

Can't vouch for Afrihost handling the Telkom installation.

There shouldn't be much of a delay between the time you have completed the sign-up, and us contacting you to arrange the installation and activation of the FTTH for you.

Could you PM me your details and I'll check what's going on.
