Afrihost Firmare Settings

I honestly don’t see the issue here. There’s a certain element of trust with your isp and with Afrihost being in the game for so long I’m willing to go on a little faith.

Also let’s face it. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. For every 1 of you there’s probably 10 users that have no clue and the support required for basic configuration is probably immense.

Granted a disclaimer or at least some form of communication would have been better from Afrihost but this is Hardly worth crucifying them for.

If you have trust issues it’s simple. Get another isp

I see two issues. First, Tattle01 was migrating to another ISP and wanted to take along the router he already paid for, but seemingly had to order another one. Somebody suggested just get an Asus. Which is > R1400.

Possibly a security issue. On Wednesday morning I woke up and could not read my newspaper. I tried to ping my gateway at the ISP. Yes, it was pinging, at 4000 ms! So far I haven't had the problem again, granted, I also changed my (strong) admin password. I am no expert, just keeping any back doors closed and clinging to what I have paid for.
