Just a question and some ideas hopefully afriman reads this.

Why doesn't afrihost have gaming servers?

Considering the article http://mybroadband.co.za/news/adsl/87905-are-you-killing-your-adsl-isp.html

I was thinking the high end users that are not pirating, are probably youtubing and downloading steam an origin titles,
if thats the case steam and origin have local servers so this is not international traffic which is a cost saving for the isp, why doesn't afrihost have some type of gaming service that will benefit its users.

Hi!

Good question, I hope I can answer as many questions as possible :)
Onto our gaming servers - we do have some, they're setup under AfriGamer. This project was launched a while back, but a few months down the line everything seemed to explode (in a really good way) and our teams had been tasked with a whole stack of other projects.

AfriGamer is still on the cards (AFAIK anyway :)) I just don't think any changes/ improvements are happening soon due to the general crazyness at the moment.

Some servers in time for BF4 would be nice

We're getting there :)
As I said though, I don't think a lot of changes/ upgrades are happening on the gaming side - we've got a lot of other projects to concentrate on.

I'm pushing for some love on the gaming servers though. As soon as they're up - I'll be there (pwning everyone!)
