Afrihost IMAP mail server problems on ADSL

Anyone on a Afrihost ADSL account experiencing problems with the IMAP mail server, fist my account would not sync with with the web server, I ten changed the mail and SMPT addresses and mail down loaded and synced. Now suddenly the mail account does not sync and keeps asking me for the correct password. On my tablet using the PO3 server the account is working fine.

I have run a deep scan on my PC to check for viruses or and other dogie software and all comes up clear.
 
I briefly experienced something similar yesterday, and have had a relatively sluggish experience for the past few days (also using Afrihost). No matter what I tried, my account would not sync up (or it would be unable to find a specific synced folder). Eventually it came right by itself, although I'm still seeing delays/other oddities every now and then.

I see you created a similar thread last week, but I haven't heard back from you yet.

I am having problems with Outlook connecting to the Afrihost IMAP server and been trying to get someone at Afrihost to assist me with this since yesterday. This is affecting all of my business emails to my PC's and Laptops - Mail to cell phones via POP3 all working fine

Sorry to hear about the issues here.
Is there only one device affected?

If only one device is affected there must be a setting or something blocking the connection.
Have you reviewed the setup and ensured the settings are correct to the ones listed in ClientZone?
 
Yes done that, I am not sure I think the problem is related to Outlook 2016, 2 machines updated Office 2016 software and both having the same issue.
 
I have also posted a request for help in the software forum in regards this problem, maybe someone out there has already broken this wall down.
