Afrihost installation fees

Hi all

I have moved into a new house where my landlord previously had fibre installed through Home Connect. This was part of our rental, however this has been cancelled and the line will be released on 01 May. As the full installation is already here, and I only need a new router, will I still need to pay the installation fee of R997?

The installation was already done by Home Connect and the ONT is already here.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Good Morning,

If you already have an installation when signing up please select the migrate my installation option during the signup.

With migrations there is no install fee applicable.

Good evening Afrinatic, trust you are well this evening.

If I may, I have two questions please:

1 - I am in the process of signing up with Afrihost for a 100mbps line and I am an online gamer. As I need an open NAT type, how would I be able to set this up ? I had problems with my previous provider when they had me on a strict NAT type where I couldnt join online games. Is this something that can be arranged?
2 - What Router will I be receiving from Afrihost? I normally have about 4 devices connected at one time and wanted to know if the supplied router will be able to perform online gaming etc?

We offer public IP's to clients on request. Currently we have public IP's available on all FNO's but there is a delay with Vuma Reach allocations so there might be a delay.

We supply the Huawe AX3 router. You can see what features and specs it have here.

Thank you for the fast turnaround time.

Just to let you know that I signed up for fibre this morning and I would like it known that the turnaround time regarding the processing of my order was incredible! I have already received confirmation that my router has been pre-configured and all. Thank you Afrihost!

As Home Connect is releasing my line next week sometime, who do I notify at Afrihost so that the line can be activated by you guys ?

You can send me a message as soon as Home-Connect has submitted the release then I can get the activation going for you.

Thanks once again for your quick replies.. I was totally blown away yesterday when my router was delivered to my offices, less than 24 hours after placing my order. You guys are awesome.

I have received notification from Home Connect that my line is being released today. Once completed, what do I need to send to you?
