Afrihost installation question...

Hi Guys

I hope someone who went through the same experience or even @AfriNatic can answer my question...

So after a year with my previous ISP, I moved to Afrihost a few months back. As with most ISP's they advertise free installation, but since my fiber and everything was already in, there wasn't any need for "installation" (I get that they probably have to do something between them and Frogfoot, although I'm still with Frogfoot as well).

So now I have to move to a new place, and have fiber installed there (Frogfoot is also the fiber provider at the new address), will I be charged for installation there, or could I request that the "free installation" I never used, be used for the new address?

Interesting question you might be charged because installation with Afrihost on frogfoot is not free it’s R997 (which is just discounted) but activation is free.

If you had an ONT already installed than I would say the move to your new house would be completely free.

You would need to contact Afrihost to get them to confirm. I’m sure AfriNatic will respond soon

Morning,

If your new address already has an installation then you can signup for a migrate in and there won't be any charge for that.

Thanks! There is an existing ONT at the main house... But I requested via the Afrihost Clientzone for an install of an additional one, as the erf has two living units (house and flatlet). So what will happen in this case?

The order will progress as a new install. Drop me a pm with your email addres let me see if I can schedule it for you if you haven't been scheduled yet by Openserve.

I have done something via the Clientzone, but I would appreciate it if you can please check if I'm on the right path :)
