Afrihost - IPC problems and Seacom down ?

Hi Guys.

From what I am seeing is there both a IPC and Seacom problem. Local latency is sky high. Surely the seacom outage would not affect local ?

Technically but just like when there is an accident on a south bound road, traffic builds up on the north bound road as well...

Seacom outage was apparently a fibre break in-country that affected both Seacom's backhaul providers (likely Neotel, DFA or Broadbabd Infraco), not the Seacom marine cable. That break might also have severed other backbones like IS etc, causing latency as traffic was shoved over other routes.

Latency has been bad for me. I am also getting very unstable speeds.
