The network as you know is falling apart.
They say they are waiting for new network which isn't a solution.
Speeds are absolutely a mess.
What other prepaid options are there?

Thanks

Capped internet is probably the best way to avoid shaping/throttling... but I get conflicting advice... I am being told to stay away from IS... yet I know their uncapped is KARK.. WebAfrica is too much of a schlepp with their anytime and daytime tiers (which amounts to the same thing like MWEB's throttling).

I think every single ISP sucks in SA right now, and doesn't matter where you go, you won't get what you pay for.

It actually pathetic how things have become worse not better.
I'm extremely unhappy with afrihost capped prepaid. The network is a mess.
And WebAfrica while good is way overpriced.
Really sad

Some people are happy with Vox. We went for WebAfrica Business Capped.

The package we chose requires some minor changes to how we used the Afrihost account. Moved the bulk of our downloads to 0:00-6:00. We're paying R100 more and getting 600 GB more! Could have gone for the consumer capped and saved R200.

Afrihost Capped: 400 GB (anytime) at R799
WebAfrica Capped: 200 GB (anytime), 800 GB (0:00-6:00) at R599
WebAfrica Business Capped: 200 GB (anytime), 800 GB (0:00-6:00) at R899

Does the WA anytime apply for the whole day on weekends or also only between 00:00 - 06:00?

The issue is that this as confusing as a cellphone contract.
Does this mean, over a period of 30 days the max I can pull during the day is 200Gb or does it mean 200GB per day?

It is on a per month basis. You can use the 200 GB any time of the day. So if your night cap runs out at night you can still use the day cap.

Thanks... so generally I can then keep my current cycle of doing my downloads mostly during the weekends...
So what happens if you exceed the anytime cap? Disconnect? Throttling?
