The Leaderboard currently on Afrihost's website shows stats for the top downloaders that use their 4 uncapped packages (1Mbps, 2Mbps, 4Mbps and 10Mbps).

Just did a quick calculation on the top guy who downloaded 320.46 GB in a 31 day period. That essentially boils down to a 0.98Mbps average over that period (keep in mind that means he must have been downloading every second of that 31 day period). That average surely can't be possible since the peek hour traffic on the network must surely shape the connection down to at most 500Kbps? Unless the "unshaped if network is not busy" means you can potentially go well above the 1Mbps capacity  Or Afrihost are not that popular and all times are unshaped :p

EDIT: Looking at the top guy for 1Mbps connection.

You forgot to add upload. And since the upload of a 1Meg line is half the download, that's quite a bit.

None of the data is faked at all. This is real live data drawn from our internal systems. We did however find that certain clients had downgraded their Uncapped accounts during the course of the month, which has skewed the leaderboard results. For example, a client had started out as 10Mbps, downgraded to 4Mbps and then again to 1Mbps, which gave him an unrealistic 1Mbps total. We have adjusted the rules to compensate for this type of occurrence.
