Does the Afrihost live Chat still work ? I've tried it a few times but never get any reply.

Always get a message "An agent will be with you shortly. Thank you for your patience" but no agent ever replies.

Sometimes waiting for 15-20 minutes.
 
It does yes, but only if you have the patience to wait for a long time...

The other day I waited almost 40 minutes before someone started to type back, they must be heavily understaffed.

Also, once they start to chat with you you get the feeling that they are trying everything possible to end the chat as soon as they can, quite ridiculous, before I can even type out what I want to ask I get a message to ask whether I'm still there? like WTF :confused:

:( I'm really sorry about the wait time. The LiveChat service is definitely working, but they are experiencing very high numbers of Chat requests.

We are working on expanding our Support Teams to make sure that we are able to reply to our Clients as quickly as possible.
 
afrihost has become hilarious.

They are ALWAYS receiving high call volumes. Try it, call at 9am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm - try it on every day of the week. Thats their standard call response "high volumes"

Today it was a 25min wait on the call (at 11:30am, regular business time right?)
Live chat, i left the window open for about 45minutes and no response.



Such a pity, a company who was so customercentric and set the bar on customer service has now become worse then telkom. Today was the 14th customer I convinced to cancel hosting with Afrihost.

I'm really sorry to hear about your poor experience of late, naeem. :( It's definitely no secret that we have been experiencing high volumes lately, but we have been sparing no expense to bolster our Support Team and improve the support experience and holding times. Did you manage to get your query resolved? If not, feel free to skip the queue and drop me a PM. :)
 
Receiving really poor service from Afrihost ... line speed issue outstanding for 4 weeks, account issue for over 5 weeks. Numerous tickets ... they respond halfway but do not close out the tickets. No call back ... what's going on?
