But I don't think the problem has been alleviated, it’s just that MTN network congestion in your area has reduced and hence Afrihost customers aren't being throttled currently, that may change at any time.Interestingly, after I complained about this, I noticed a change on my network speeds by accident the other day. My latest Speedtest results:
Ping: 44ms
Upload: 81.44Mbps
Download: 23.50Mbps
So something has changed.
Afrihost must have a service level agreement with MTN that allows the congestion throttling that prioritises targeting Afrihost users and not MTNs own customers. It’s not on for Afrihost to sell a product that is priced based on the speed offered knowing full well that the speed will be throttled for reasons unrelated to the FUP or the customer's own actions.
