Ok I tried my Mobile 3 sim this morning and it's not working. Get error message. "Connection failed. Network access is not allowed. Please contact your service provider" Any ideas ?
Mine is also not working (Afriman was looking into it for me). I'm partially glad that it's not just me.
Hopefully it wont require me to wait for a new SIM card.
For those folks that have SIM cards not working; did you receive any welcom SMSs from MTN / RICA?
I got one spam sms the moment I put the SIM into the router (lol :wtfbut nothing else.
I did not get any welcome SMS. What is strange to me is that I can sent and receive SMS's with the sim.:wtf:

Update: Can't get it to phone on my phone nor the mifi device. Afriman, need advice please![]()
Happy day, got my data sim just now
Unfortunately, I ran into the same problem as:
Using the Afrihost mifi.
Will test a bit more to see what's up.

PhoneMaybe I missed something, do you use VOIP?
The only time Afrihost got back to me was when I gave them a low rating on the followup SMS relating to the original service call. They called me within minutes to find out why. I explained to the guy that no one is giving me an indication of what to do about my problem(Sim card not provisioned). He said he'd get someone to contact me regarding the sim card which doesn't work. That still has not happened. So far, I've mailed, SMS'd, tried calling (The line disconnects after 14 minutes). I don't have anymore follow up SMS's to use for getting them to contact me
So what must I do?? Call MTN direct? Throw the card away? Wait a week? What?
Think Afrihost has bitten off more than they can chew, much like the ADSL line of mine they tried to manage.
Eish!
