I have this problem- when connecting through Afrihost APN, I get this message in the browser - You have used up all the data on your connectivity account!

Please log into your ClientZone to top-up your account and continue to enjoy the world wide web

Now, when I log in to client zone, it shows that I still have 589 mb available, what could be the problem?

I have the same problem. I notice that one of the accounts linked to mine is capped, but I still have 300mb left. Also cannot access the internet.

We ran some maintenance on our Mobile network on Monday. This false "Capped" message should now be a thing of the past.

That tends to happen around this time of the month. :P

I see Afrihost are no longer using MTN for Internet breakout on the afrihost APN.

All traffic breaks out onto the same network as your DSL network.

So am I correct in assuming that the same DNS servers will work for both DSL and Mobile Data?

If you use "Auto" assigned DNS on Mobile, you will notice that they're the same as our DSL servers, yes. :)

I have an annoying issue on my S5.

The mobile data keeps reverting back to MTN. Every single time. My APN details are correct and I have set it up as the tutorial says. I just can't permanently delete the MTN APN connections, so it won't stay on Afrihost for more than a few minutes.

Am I gonna have to root this thing?

That's a strange issue to be getting... Is Smart Switch maybe enabled on your device? It may be trying to get the fastest possible connection.

We are currently seeing an issue in the South. :( Our Mobile Network Team is currently checking it out. Sorry about the trouble here, guys.

Do I need to take a video of my data working if I switch to the mymtn APN?
A while back another rep seemed to think there's no difference at all between the APN's.
Obviously there is seeing as I'm able to post here :).

Afrifella. Thank you kindly for the feedback and the link. Will use that for future.

I have the same problem. Connection failed. The profile is invalid. Please contact your service provider. I tried a hard reboot of my mifi and restarted my pc and browser. I've had afrihost for more than two years now and this has never happened. Please help :(

Morning. I have ported my prepaid Vodacom to MTN this weekend, seems like it went through successfully, I then bought the Afrihost Prepaid option, which it is now saying Waiting for activation since yesterday. Do I need to wait longer or do anything further? Thanks.

Contact Support and request a 'Session Reset', you'll be asked to restart the mifi device again
