Afrihost MTN LTE or MWEB MTN LTE?

Right now, on 4G&3G Auto" I'm getting these speeds on Telkom :

It's usually lower, sometimes much higher (been up to 146Mbps down), but switching between the different spectrum's & testing helps.

In relation to the OP's question, this is a Telkom SIM not through another provider, but I was with Afrihost using a Telkom SIM and saw similar results ; service levels since the COVID-19 outbreak have certainly slackened, though it's not stopped me from ordering an MTN SIM from them, because at least there's a decent enough presence on this forum so you do get answers, even if they aren't the ones you want or are expecting.

Their WhatsApp option of contacting them has become terrible lately, with long delays (it took over 3 hrs on Friday PM to get a response) and if you're not online when they see fit to contact you, then they don't bother answering your question/s, even if you've provided them with all the detail they need.

Yeah Telkom looked like that in the beginning. Then it crashed down to 5Mbps. It's just bad most of the time. And yes, you have to forever switch between the different spectrums.... such a waist of time.

For most part MTN Fixed LTE has been consistent. Yesterday it was full of crap on and off. The first time in a month. Today it is back to consistent speeds. I rather prefer 30-60 Mbps than a faster connection that is extremely unstable.

Are you using an Afrihost/Axxess/MWeb MTN Fixed LTE service or one of the Telkom Fixed LTE plans? The MTN Fixed LTE services are only supposed to work on Huawei B525, B612, B618 and ZTE MF286 routers.

I'm getting really slow speeds with Mweb Fixed LTE... Download speeds are 3mbs but upload is 25mbs which doesn't make sense... it's been like this since forever!!
