Afrihost network quality poor

Cant say I have had any problems with their service, my connection has been very stable and speedtest results are consistent.

I am reasonably happy with them. Taken using my cellphone using WiFi.

I'm on 10Mb and since yesterday been getting 200/300k/sec downloads instead of 1000k/sec

Anybody else having same issues.

Webafrica seems to be perfect. Afrihost problem ;(

I continually get ip addresses that show I am in Europe or London and as such blocks some steam apps, also local ping to jhb servers around 300ms. I after fighting and dealing with incompetency dealt with Gian via email, of which he told me someone would assist me ASAP, got a call about an hour later froma technician, had no idea what was going on and basically told still nothing he can do.

Thank god I stayed with mweb, this smells like the last mess with their uncapped offering.

Thanks Afriman! I did notice that with the 384k to 1Mbps upgrade as well as uncapped upgrade to 1Mbps was great while still with IS and has not been great at all since the MTN change over. But it has still been manageable to a large extent. However, since late Thursday night the performance has really been bad most of the time. But I tested my Axxess 1GB capped account that I still have and the same, so in my case seems to be more a Telkom line issue, unless Axxess is also having issues even on their capped accounts at the moment.

Something to bear in mind is that this is a transitional period as Afriman says - remember that first month when cheap uncapped was launched by all of the major players? Was chaos after the first week but then came right from the following months onwards. So hopefully the same take place here and overall performance issues will be ironed out.

from what I know axxess and afrihost moved to the mtn network to make more money so yes your axxess account will be the same.
