Afrihost NZB/NNTP Throtteling

Wow. I get full speed anytime. 6mbps connection. Average download speed is 585KB/s.
In fact, I have had to implement QoS on my network so Sabnzbd does not hog everything.

What package are you on?

2mb uncapped, was googling my problem when I came across this post of some other guy

also bear in mind it only affects my NZB downloads, even torrents I get 25kb\s

some more details...

Try their free 1GB package and see if you get the same results.

I am on Business Uncapped. Functions the same as their 1GB package.

Speeds are now stable between 100KB\s and 120KB\s... Still not what it should be

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have no info on this and want to know as I am experiencing extreme throttling by Afrihost.

What is sabnzbd and what is it used for?

Check that you got the right server details in as well. Had similar with Tweaknews and saw I was using ports they longer use.

It seems as if there are 2 takes on the Protocol Prioritization. Some say you must deactivate to increase speed, and others say you must activate it. Which setting is the best for Nzb download? (Using Alt Binz)
