So since december I have been having a lot of on and off issues with my connection. Now if I call the support it is always Telkom's fault, which is BS...

This weekend tops it. I've had no internet since Friday. My router reports an auth error to the ISP and the line syncs fine... They claim it is Telkom fault. The technician came this morning and nothing is wrong woth the line... Then I wanted to make sure about the password and on the page where you can change/check it I just pressed update my details... Reboot router and hop internet is back... Now this afternoon same issue, I did the same operation and it is back working... So Afrihost stop your BS and sort your system

Grab a free 1gb account from another ISP and test that first... This sounds like a auth fault on the LPC layer.

:( That is definitely not cool.

There have been significant issues with the Telkom infrastructure over the past few weeks due to the loadshedding. At the moment there definitely aren't any widespread issues on our side, nor were there any problems over the weekend.

Could you please PM me your details so that I can check from my side to see exactly what is causing your authentication issue.
