Afrihost or telkom line issues?

We have 2 adsl lines on the property and for the last week and a half or so they both disconnect at the same time, stays disconnected for a few mins and then reconnects. This goes on all day long. Could this be a telkom line problem or and ISP issue?

Most probably telkom issue.

if both lines do that and both are connected to afrihost, try switching the one account to a prepaid web africa account maybe and see if this persists. If it does, probably fault at the exchange

Line issue, probably damage to the cable somewhere putting noise on the line. Stick a telephone on each line and see if you get scratching or hissing on the line. Another possibility is if a splitter has been damaged causing the line to drop if a telephone is answered, depends on whether there are phones on the lines. If there are, try unplugging all the equipment except for the ADSL modems plugged directly into the primary socket.
