I don't think I've ever seen Live Chat available (and yet ... the Yankee recording on the phone reckons it's an option). Leaving a message is a test of patience. Which leaves the humble telephone.

Ah yes, just like that other South Africa company who's name starts with Tel and ends with Kom you are seemingly always experiencing high caller volumes.

Business must be great. So why not employ more people with telephone skills (makes sense, no?)?

We're expanding our Support Team aggressively, but we put all new Support Personnel through a four-week training cycle, so there is a bit of delay, but you should see our Team growing noticeably very soon!

How TF do I go from being #1 to being being #2 in the telephone queue? You cannot make this rubbish up! LOL

Oh, and AfriGenie, I am aggressively expanding my bank account over the next 4 weeks, so does that mean I don't have to pay you this month?

Oh, but it gets better.

When somebody eventually did answer the phone I got the old 'I cannot hear you can you please call again trick'.
You. Have. Got. To. Be. Fugging. Kidding. Me.

:(

Wow... Not quite sure what to say about that... The Agent should have called you back then. You didn't perhaps get a name?

Good frigging grief sir. This has to be some of the worst I have heard regarding call centre agents. Hope I do not need to contact AfriHost any time soon.

There is a reason Crystalweb got 9.36 for support in the latest survey. The choice to stop your own suffering is in your hands :D

Indeed.

I cannot understand why people keep paying for this crap.

Well whaddya know! Live Chat is online. Tap-tap-tap a message and WAIT. Wait some more. More waiting ... a little more. Only 10 minutes so far. A little more.

Nope, sorry, this is not what I would describe as LIVE Chat.

So ... let's go look at CrystalWeb's page while I wait ...

After 17-or-so minutes of non-existent *Live* Chat I get (in the Live Chat window :wtf:):

You make far too many promises you cannot keep Afrihost. Far too many.

Afrihost support has gone to ****.

I remember the days when I would log a ticket and get a reply in less than an hour. Now days I wait over a day. Complain in twitter, get told the issue will be resolved ASAP, and I wait another day. Moved to web africa. Much better

Don't worry, most people will never cancel their AH and will post a million thanks once their connection sort of works after weeks of hassles.
